Born in walled city area of New Delhi in 1973, Prakash Singh is a senior Freelance photographer, primarily working for The Bloomberg News and The Getty Images. Earlier worked with The Agence France-Presse, a Paris-based wire agency for 22 years and with HindustanTimes for 8 years.
During a chequered career, Prakash Singh has travelled widely and made his mark covering news events ranging from natural calamities like the cyclone and earthquake, floods, a drought and the Tsunami tragedy in India and Sri Lanka. He has also covered the Kargil conflict between India and Pakistan, cricket and sports tournaments, the post-Taliban period in Afghanistan, the SAARC and ASEAN summits and elections in Indonesia, Conflict in Sri Lanka, the Asian Games in Busan, South Korea as well as regular, everyday news assignments.
